Platinum Wants Original Bayonetta on Wii U
Hideki Kamiya, game design rock star and prolific twitter user,  has once again stated (and a bit more clearly this time) that He and Platinum Games want to put Bayonetta on the Wii U.

It appears that Nintendo is once again playing their part in depriving their own fans of software (I am only half joking here).  With Bayonetta 2 on route to the Wii U as a direct and exclusive sequel, It seems obvious that releasing the original Bayonetta on the system would be a good idea.  Hopefully this is merely a case of us not knowing, rather than us knowing better.
Bayonetta was originally announced as one of the three debut titles of Platinum Games, alongside MadWorld (Wii) and Infinite Space (DS).┬á The game was originally released in 2009.┬á At a post-E3 event in 2012, Nintendo shocked gamers and critics alike be unveiling Bayonetta 2 as a Wii U exclusive.┬á It was soon after revealed that the project had been canceled early in its development with Nintendo stepping in to see to its completion and publication.┬á Bayonetta 2 is currently slated for a vague 2014 release date in all regions.┬á Hopefully the original Bayonetta will release on the console before then, allowing those new to the franchise to catch up on the story and enjoy the beloved titleÔÇÖs frantic action gameplay.
