Ubisoft - 12 Febrero, 2015

Cita:Paris, February 12, 2015 ÔÇô Today, Ubisoft released its sales figures for the fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2014.

Sales

Sales for the third quarter of 2014-15 came to €809.7 million, up 55.8% (or 49.5% at
constant exchange rates) compared with the €519.7 million recorded for third-quarter 2013-14.

For the first nine months of fiscal 2014-15, sales totaled €1,293.9 million versus €813.0 millionin the corresponding prior-year period, representing an increase of 59.2% (or 58.3% at constant exchange rates).

The third-quarter sales figure was higher than the target of approximately €730 million
announced when Ubisoft released its first-half 2014-15 results. This performance reflects:

-A sharp increase in market share to 12.8% for 2014 (from 9.6% in 2013).

- A very good performance delivered by the two AssassinÔÇÖs Creed┬« opuses, Far Cry┬« 4
and The Crew®, with respective sales of 10 million, 7 million and 2 million units (sellin):

- Far Cry 4 was voted ÔÇ£Best ShooterÔÇØ at "The Games Awards 2014".

- AssassinÔÇÖs Creed Unity won the prize for best ÔÇ£Character Animation in a Video
GameÔÇØ at the Annie Awards.

- To date, The Crew has recorded the best sales for the racing games released in
late 2014.

- A solid showing from Just Dance® with 4 million units sold (sell-in).

- The continued success of Watch Dogs®, with 10 million units sold (sell-in) since its
release. Watch Dogs is the biggest launch ever of a new IP in the EMEA region and the
second largest launch in the United States.

- A 157.0% surge in digital segment revenues to €138.0 million in the third quarter. For
the first nine months of 2014-15, revenues generated by the digital segment came to
€274.1 million, up 120.3% year on year, and representing 21.2% of UbisoftÔÇÖs total
sales compared with 15.3% in the same period of 2013-14.

- A robust 25.9% increase in back-catalog sales to €67.1 million in the third quarter. For
the first nine months of the fiscal year, back-catalog sales rose 6.1% to €181.9 million.

Yves Guillemot, Chief Executive Officer, said "In 2014, Ubisoft offered gamers the most
diversified line-up in the industry, with titles such as AssassinÔÇÖs Creed Unity, Child of Light, Far Cry 4, Just Dance 2015, The Crew, Trials Fusion and Frontier, Valiant Hearts and Watch Dogs. This uniquely varied offering was also recognized for its overall quality. As a result we achieved a third-quarter performance that was well above target and we expect to generate a record level of free cash flow for 2014-15. We are now capitalizing on the investments we have made over the past several years to further develop our creative strengths, boost our marketing impact and extend our digital footprint. Our performance is all the more impressive given that it is wholly the result of UbisoftÔÇÖs teams. Each of these successful games was developed by our in-house studios and we own our brands, which means that our destiny is in our own hands and we are internalizing the value created for our shareholders.ÔÇØ

Yves Guillemot concluded by saying "2015-16 should see a return to growth in the consoles market, in a more competitive games environment and with a substantial installed base for both Xbox One and PLAYSTATION 4. Against this backdrop, Ubisoft will be offering an exceptional line-up and we intend to drive player engagement further through high-potential live services for our games across consoles, PC and mobile."

Outlook

Sales for the fourth quarter of 2014-15

Ubisoft expects fourth-quarter 2014-15 sales to amount to approximately €146.0 million, down by approximately 25% compared with the fourth quarter of 2013-14, which saw the release of South ParkTM The Stick of TruthTM.

Full-year 2014-15

Ubisoft has raised its sales and non-IFRS operating income targets for full-year 2014-15. The sales target is now approximately €1,440 million (versus the previous target of at least €1,400 million) and the new non-IFRS operating income target is approximately €165 million (compared with the previous target of at least €150 million). In addition, the Group expects Free Cash Flow generation to reach more than €150 million.
Full-year 2015-16 Ubisoft is standing by its target for non-IFRS operating income to reach at least €200 million.

For those wondering about The Division, Ubisoft still says to expect it in the coming financial year. Note that this doesnÔÇÖt necessarily mean 2015, as the final quarter occurs in 2016.

Cita:Financial Results for the 9 Months ended December 31, 2015 Increased by 19.3% in Net Sales, by 9.0% in Operating Income from the Previous Term
- Favorable Consumer business, including "Monster Hunter X (Cross)" and overseas digital download sales contributed to the earnings -

Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced that net sales increased to 57,060 million yen (up 19.3% from the same term last year) in the 9 months of fiscal year ending March 31, 2016. As for profits, operating income increased to 10,604 million yen (up 9.0 % from the same term last year), and ordinary income increased to 10,640 million yen (up 5.2% from the same term last year). Net income for the current period increased to 7,006 million yen (up 7.1 % from the same term last year).

During the 9 months ended December 31, 2015, the latest title in the featured series "Monster Hunter X (Cross)" was a major hit and contributed to significant sales of more than 3 million units, surpassing the initially-planned 2.5 million units. In addition, sales of repeat titles and digital download contents were firm, particularly in overseas markets, in the Digital Contents business.

Regarding online games, "Dragon's Dogma Online", an online open-world action game, was strong, while mobile contents sales improved as downloads of "Monster Hunter Explore" surpassed 3 million. Meanwhile, in the growing Chinese market, distribution of the PC online game "Monster Hunter Online" by Tencent Holdings Limited in cooperation with Capcom, which began in December, was off to a good start.

The resulting consolidated net sales were 57,060 yen (up 19.3 % from the same term last year), operating income was 10,604 million yen (up 9.0% from the same term last year), and all profits exceeded the same term last year.

The forecast for the consolidated business results for the current fiscal year ending March 31, 2016 remains the same as what was projected at the financial results announcement on May 7, 2015.

Microsoft

Cita:Today Microsoft announced a profitable second quarter of its financial 2016, the three month period ended December 31, 2015.

The company pulled in $25.7 billion in revenue and generated $6.3 billion in net income; Microsoft beat analyst revenue estimates of $25.26 billion for the quarter, and the stock has risen around 5 percent in after-hours trading as of this writing.

It's not all rosy news; while revenues in its games business increased 5 percent year-on-year, hardware revenues saw a decline of 9 percent. The company says Xbox Live, Halo 5, and Minecraft contributed to the positive news; and cited decreased sales of the Xbox 360 for the hardware shortfall.

That implies that sales of the Xbox One are not filling the gap that Xbox 360 is leaving, which lends more credence to a report which suggests the console is being outpaced by Sony's PlayStation 4. Microsoft has ceased reporting hardware sales in its financial reports.

The other clue we have is this: There was a "slight" decrease in Xbox One's hardware revenue, the company said, thanks to higher volume of units sold year-on-year against a lower sale price for those devices, so at least we know there was an uptick in hardware sales compared to holiday 2014.

The company further revealed that Xbox Live users grew 30 percent year-on-year, with 48 million monthly active users -- although these user numbers and/or revenue reports could include Windows 10 gamers using Xbox Live services on PCs, phones, and tablets. A year ago, Sony reported that it had 64 million monthly active users of its PlayStation Network and Sony Entertainment Network, when the company merged them into one service.

Microsoft, como sabéis, ya no da datos de ventas de ONE.

Pero, EA tiene información más concreta que nosotros.

EA

Battlefront distribuye 13 millones de unidades.

Cita:Selected Operating Highlights and Metrics:

EA is the #1 publisher on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One consoles in the Western World for calendar year 2015 based on available sources and EA estimates.

Madden NFL 16 was the #1 sports title in the U.S. and FIFA 16 was the #1 title across all genres in Europe for calendar year 2015.

The return of Need for SpeedÔäó drew more than twice as many monthly active players in Q3 than the previous game.

Players logged more than 150 million hours of gameplay across Battlefield 4Ôäó and BattlefieldÔäó Hardline in Q3.

In Q3, STAR WARSÔäó: The Old Republic grew to its highest subscriber level in nearly three years.

Madden NFL Mobile monthly active players were up nearly 50% year-over-year in Q3.

Selected Financial Highlights:

For the quarter, non-GAAP net revenue of $1.803 billion was above guidance of $1.775 billion. Diluted non-GAAP EPS of $1.83 was above guidance of $1.75. And operating cash flow of $889 million was a record for any quarter in EA history.

STAR WARSÔäó Battlefront surpassed EAÔÇÖs fiscal year guidance of 13 million units sold-in.

Non-GAAP net revenue for EAÔÇÖs FIFA, Madden NFL and Hockey Ultimate TeamÔäó live services continue to perform well in Q3, collectively up 13% year-over-year and up 22% on a constant currency basis.

EA repurchased 1.8 million shares in Q3 for $126 million.

On a trailing twelve month basis, EA had non-GAAP net revenue of $4.538 billion (of which a record $2.421 billion was digital), non-GAAP net income of $982 million and operating cash flow of $1.025 billion.

EA increased fiscal 2016 non-GAAP net revenue guidance to $4.517 billion and diluted non-GAAP EPS guidance to $3.04 per share. This is an increase from our previous guidance of $4.500 billion and $3.00, respectively.

EA ha dicho que PS4 + ONE rondan los 55 millones. Sabiendo que PS4 ha vendido 36 millones, eso deja a ONE en 19 millones.

Cita:As part of its investor call after its quarterly earnings report today, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen revealed that the combined install base for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is over 55 million.

That number strongly implies that the install base for the Xbox One is around - or just over - 19 million units. We can deduce this number from the fact that Sony reported this month that it has sold nearly 36 million units of its PlayStation 4.

Cita:Nintendo Co. reported a 36 percent fall in third-quarter profit after a lack of hit game titles hurt holiday sales of its Wii U and 3DS hardware and the absence of currency windfalls that boosted the year earlier.

Net income fell to 29.1 billion yen ($241 million) in the three months to December, the Kyoto-based company reported Tuesday. That compares with the 23 billion yen average of analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
