It may be a quiet time of year, but it still represents CapcomÔÇÖs first All Formats No1 since ÔÇÿResident Evil 5ÔÇÖ back in week 13 2009 (Resident Evil 6 could only manage No2). Released on Tuesday and developed by Cambridge indie developer Ninja Theory (the first time a Devil May Cry title has been developed outside of Capcom), DMC sells over a third of what ÔÇÿDevil May Cry 4ÔÇÖ did at launch when it also reached No1, back in week 6 2008.
ÔÇÿFIFA 13ÔÇÖ (-40%) drops to No2 ahead of ÔÇÿCall of Duty: Black Ops IIÔÇÖ (-26%), while ÔÇÿFar Cry 3ÔÇÖ (-49%) falls 2 places to No4. There is no change at No5 and No6 with ÔÇÿNeed for Speed Most WantedÔÇÖ (-35%) and ÔÇÿJust Dance 4ÔÇÖ (-18%) both non-movers. ÔÇÿFootball Manager 2013ÔÇÖ (-16%) is up one place to No7, while sales of ÔÇÿHitman AbsolutionÔÇÖ (-50%) are cut in half, knocking it from No4 to No8. Eurogamer has been told by UK numbers firm Chart-Track that, after five weeks on sale, the Wii U's initial sales figure counted for 50.1 per cent of the system's total. This indicates that Wii U sales in the UK were at the 80,000 units mark at the beginning of January. It's a huge drop-off in sales momentum after the console's initial weekend on sale, but one that is typical of other UK hardware launches: pre-orders and pent up customer demand will always make for a huge first week and, by comparison, first-week sales for the original Wii counted for 50.4 per cent of its sales total after the same five-week period. For Xbox 360 it was 54.6 per cent, and for PlayStation 3 it was 71.7 per cent.

Wii U numbers as a whole are far less than other recent home console launches. We know that PlayStation 3 sold 165,000 units over its opening weekend in the UK, so another 29.3 per cent of sales would count for 48,345 units - pushing its five-week total to 208,000. Xbox 360 sold 70,000 in its opening weekend, so therefore sold 101,000 over five weeks. Finally, the Wii sold 105,000 units in its opening weekend, meaning in five weeks it had sold over 210,000. This leaves the Wii U, in the UK at least, lagging some way behind. But it's important to note that launch sales are just that. In the UK the PS3 outsold Xbox 360 by 2:1 at launch, but Microsoft's console has ended up selling significantly more than Sony's over its lifetime on these shores.

In terms of money made, it took four weeks for the Wii U to earn £18 million - the amount that the original Wii made in its launch week. That's despite all three Wii U launch bundles costing more, with the most popular Premium bundle priced at least £100 higher per unit.

Dirá que el mercado británico es mucho menor ahora y que están trabajando para que no les afecte tanto. Yo echo de menos una comparación con otros lanzamientos más recientes.

¿Soy el único que cree que la Wii U Basic va a desaparecer? No la venden ni queriendo. Cuanto vende respecto a la Deluxe, ¿5:2?

Eso es lo que más raro de las ventas de Wii U. El precio no es un problema, ya que la gente prefiere pagar más. No sé si rebajándola más corregirán ese comportamiento o si podrán hacerlo.

El sueldo se lo bajará en marzo que es cuándo la consola habrá vendido aún menos cantidad.

Pienso que van a hacer el pack deluxe más atractivo, no sé como, pero lo harán.

Hasta ahora, el PVP del pack es de 349,99 y incluye:

-Nintendo Land.
-Cable HDMI.
-Soportes del Gamepad y de la consola.
-Barra de sensores.
-Adaptadores varios.

Yo fulminaría el Pack Basic, hasta que se acabasen las existencias, metería más memoria a la deluxe y añadiría el NSMBU por código. Todo al mismo precio, por supuesto.

Meterán el Nintendo Land en la memoria de la consola o como mínimo en un sobre, venderán los soportes aparte, rebajarán el precio y quitarán el pack básico.

De primeras pienso siempre en una rebaja del precio, pero es que no tiene mucho sentido.

Wii U no vende porque ahora mismo no hay juegos y punto. Si te soy sincero Indyana, ese pack que propones sigue siendo insuficiente y no me incita nada a comprar la consola.

Pienso que se columpiaron un poco con el precio pero bueno lo que no estaria mal es lo que ha comentado mike por encima con el New Super Mario Bros U pero, en mi opinion, por 300€ (aunque sea se quita Nintendo Land, que no digo que este mal porque no lo he jugado pero que mejor que una consola de Nintendo con un Super Mario xD).

Quizas no cae en ese momento pero yo si quiero contribuir con la consola cuando salga "X" o "Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem". Tambien hay otro juego donde voy a tener que hacer tiradas de resistencia, Bayonetta xD.
