[RUMOR] Super Mario Odyssey saldría en noviembre
The Nintendo Switch has proven to be a hot commodity, selling out at stores and online almost as fast as it can be stocked. While retail shortages are something Nintendo is well versed in these days, recent reports indicate that the company is planning on fixing this shortage issue throughout 2017, especially towards the holiday season as production on the console continues to increase. Those same sources indicate that part of the reason for the increase in consoles is to support the upcoming launch of Super Mario Odyssey, which is expected to further increase sales of the already popular console.
Those same reports highlighting the increased production on the Nintendo Switch also managed to casually mention that the highly anticipated platformer, Super Mario Odyssey is launching this November. After being revealed five months ago at the Switch Presentation, Nintendo has been cagey regarding news on the title, only officially announcing that the game will release sometime before the end of 2017. With many expecting the core title to arrive sometime during the fourth quarter, a November launch makes a lot of sense.
Considering it’s one of the remaining few first-party titles already announced for the Switch, Nintendo confirmed that Super Mario Odyssey will be at E3 2017 likely being the primary focus of its presentation, similarly to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild last year. Oddly enough, no other games were mentioned in the press release, which could indicate that the company has a number of surprises to share.
As expected, Nintendo will be hosting their own online event again this year at E3, beginning on on June 13 at 9 AM PT (12 PM PT). While not much is known as to what Nintendo will be discussing, a number of other rumors have started to appear online including a new Pokemon game, a hack and slash Fire Emblem title for the Nintendo Switch, and leaked promotional artwork for a Mario and Raving Rabbids crossover RPG also appeared online as well. Either way, there should be something for everyone in Nintendo’s presentation this year.
Were you hoping for an earlier time frame or is November a good a month as any? Let us know your thoughts below in the comments.
Super Mario Odyssey launches sometime later in 2017 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
