FIFA 18 correrá a 60fps tanto en modo portátil como en modo sobremesa
We already know that FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch will differ slightlyfrom the Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions. For starters, the game won’t be utilising the Frostbite engine but rather it’s own custom-made engine specifically designed for Switch. The title, however, is shaping up great and is sure to please fans of FIFA as FIFA 18 has been confirmed to run at 60fps in both handheld and docked modes. The game will be output at 1080p on the big screen and at 720p when it’s in your hands or used in tabletop mode.
The news comes from supervising producer Andrei Lazarescu at Gamescom in Germany this week:
We spent a lot of time actually understanding what the console is. In dock, what we’re seeing right now, for example, is 1080p run running at 60 frames per second. When you plug out and you play in handheld it’s 720p. We spent a lot of time making sure that transition happens seamlessly and you still get 60 frames per second.
