Animal Crossing:

Metacritic - 35

IGN Video review - 5/10

Nintendo World Report - 4.5/10

Venturebeat - 33/100

Cita:All along, the developers said Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival existed just to justify cute AC Amiibo, and it really shows. ItÔÇÖs almost like Nintendo wouldnÔÇÖt let the development team release Amiibo without some game attached to them, so they threw together something quickly to justify the figuresÔÇÖ release. ItÔÇÖs easily one of the worst Nintendo titles IÔÇÖve played and as a ÔÇ£gameÔÇØ is devoid of merit and doesnÔÇÖt otherwise justify its existence.

ItÔÇÖs a blatant attempt to get you to buy more Amiibo, and itÔÇÖs not even a good one at that.
Attack Of The Fanboy - 30/100

Cita:Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival is the sort of game that should have been free. It holds such little content that is actually interesting that most players will find it a waste of their time to play, especially when the far superior Mario Party series already exists. It is a nice way to actually use those Animal Crossing Amiibo figures that you might feel the need to collect, but their function is so forced that it detracts from the experience rather than enhances it. Few will find anything of value here outside of perhaps one or two of the mini-games, but even those require Amiibo cards in frustrating ways. Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival doesnÔÇÖt offer much of an engaging experience for anyone outside of the most diehard AC fan.
Nintendo Enthusiast - 25/100

Cita:Overall, Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival is an embarrassment of a game. I was already disappointed with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, the other AC spin-off title that released this fall, but Amiibo Festival far overshoots its predecessor in terrible design and gameplay. The only reason to even look at this game on a store shelf would be for the amiibo inside. But then, I would implore you to import the amiibo rather than give Nintendo money for this terribly made title. Nintendo fans need to speak with their wallet, and I beg of them to make a statement that terrible cash-ins, such as Amiibo Festival, will not be tolerated.

Mario Tennis:

IGN - 4.8

Cita:Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash is as stripped-down a Nintendo sports game as IÔÇÖve ever played. The absence of modes, unimpressive unlockables, and tiring hook offer very little reason to keep playing. Sure, itÔÇÖs pretty, but thatÔÇÖs about all it has going for it.
Nintendo World Report - 3.5

Cita:Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash isn't good in the slightest. While the game can be decent in passing, itÔÇÖs a horrible value when you stop and think about it. There is just one stadium, limited online options and less features than the previous two entries. This is nowhere near the satisfying entry in the series I was hoping for. The elements that they have added result to nothing, which makes the meat on this game's bones extremely thin. Wherever you stand on Mario sports titles, Ultra Smash is not worth your time nor money.
Gamespot - 6

Cita:Considered as a whole, Ultra Smash does just enough to get by. At moments it shines and at others it frustrates, but mostly it just coasts. Without substantial content to drive longevity, you may end up switching back to Mario Kart sooner than later, but if you're playing online--or better yet, with your friends at home--you'll likely overcome the game's frustrations and squeeze a solid few hours of fun out of its fast-paced, power-up-driven action.
Gameinformer - 6.75

Cita:The extracurricular activities are severely lacking, but the core tennis is good. Hitting a ball back and forth has been a fun video game pastime time since the mediumÔÇÖs inception, and responding to your opponentÔÇÖs volley with the appropriate attack and pulling off powerful Ultra Smashes and jumpshots is fun. I just wanted more reasons to keep playing.
Gametrailers Video Review - 5.7

Cita:Mario makes his tennis debut on Wii U with underwhelming results.
Gamesided - 6

Cita:That battle between the rushed effort and the fundamentally solid gameplay formula makes Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash so baffling. It would be so easy to write it off as an aggressively terrible monstrosity, worthy of nobody's time. But, at a barely-not-full-price game, it serves as an effective way for Wii U owners to get the pure, unadulterated "Nintendo characters, plus tennis" experience. Ultimately, because of its overt to pay attention to detail, a piss poor effort in its online gameplay offerings and a diminished allotment of characters, gameplay modes, collectibles and general things to accomplish, Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash serves up a faulty product.
GameXplain Video Review

Cita:Verdict: Meh
Wiitalia - 6.5
