Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has sold 12 million units and it was also announced that the Candy Texture Pack will be released on April 18.

Microsoft said the milestone makes Minecraft 360 ÔÇ£one of the best-selling Xbox 360 titles of all-time.ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£It is pretty amazing,ÔÇØ said MojangÔÇÖs Daniel Kaplan. ÔÇ£I remember when we started talking about sales numbers that we would be super happy to sell 1 million copies. That would have put us on par with Battlefield 1943 and Castle Crashers, which both are awesome games, so that was something to aim for.

ÔÇ£We never even dreamed of selling 12 million.ÔÇØ

Kaplan also said that Minecraft: Xbox One Edition ÔÇ£is coming, eventually.ÔÇØ

A PlayStation 4 version of the game is also in the works.
