Can New 'n' Tasty's success pave the way for Exoddus?


If youÔÇÖre keeping up with Oddworld on Twitter or Facebook, you might have noticed us prompting all of our fans to go and watch the Kinda Funny Games stream on Twitch yesterday. The reason was simple: Lorne Lanning was appearing and heÔÇÖs always fun to watch.

But for fans of Oddworld, there was a very interesting little piece of information to pick up on.



ThereÔÇÖs plenty to watch, with Lorne talking about his views on the games industry as well as on the world in general. But if youÔÇÖre excited for whatÔÇÖs next in the world of Oddworld, youÔÇÖll want to scrub forward to 01:09:30 where Lorne reveals that we are planning to start work on a full ground-up remake of AbeÔÇÖs Exoddus.

We get asked every day whether this is going to happen so itÔÇÖs nice to finally be able to say that this is indeed our intention.

Rest assured that the Wii U and PlayStation Vita versions of Oddworld: New ÔÇÿnÔÇÖ Tasty are still in development and are planned for release later this year. The PlayStation 3 version is in the very final stages of development and it will be out very soon.

New ÔÇÿnÔÇÖ Tasty is out now for PS4, PC and Xbox One as a digital download.

Y mientras tanto el Munch┬┤s Oddysee de PC con fallos de interacción del personaje con las palancas que hacen que se pueda quedar atascado sin poder continuar teniendo que recurrir a reiniciar el juego. Fantástico.

No pienso darles un duro mientras que no solucionen ese problema. De hecho, hasta me estoy planteando bajarme gratis el New and Tasty porque me parece una puta broma lo descuidado que han dejado el Munch┬┤s.

El Exoddus es el segundo?

Me encantaría que rehiciesen todos. Tengo el anterior todavía por comprar.

Yo a esta saga me estoy iniciando ahora mismo con el Abe's Odyssey New 'n' Tasty. Tengo los clásicos pillados en Steam menos el Munch, que leí que era el más flojo de todos.

El Stranger's Wrath cuando salió era un puñetero desastre a todas luces. Rendimiento paupérrimo, fallos gráficos con tarjetas AMD, etc. Luego lo actualizaron a Stranger's Wrath HD e iba mejor, aunque con cosas por pulir. Lo poco que jugué me gustó.
