Final Fantasy XV: Director Reveals Stunning New Game Details, PC Version Shelved
Final Fantasy XV isnÔÇÖt going to be a part of GamesCon 2014 unfortunately. Gaming Bolt is reporting that Square Enix said that it wouldnÔÇÖt be making an appearance at the large European convention. The publisher will be showcasing many of their other new titles there instead.
The Final Fantasy XV is set for May 2015, and the director of the game, Tetsuya Nomura, has revealed some new game details.
Examiner.com has reported previously that Final Fantasy XV director Tetsuya Nomura showcased his plans for the game at San Diego Comic-Con last month. Tetsuya Nomura is co-directing the game with Hajime Tabata right now. The game will be ported to the Xbox One and PS4 consoles.
Tetsuya talked about the game at the convention.
A Square Enix producer said that fans could learn more about the game at different conventions later this year. He said that Final Fantasy XV will be the first installment that is an action-based RPG. He talked about how pre-rendered movies were used heavily in the past, but what was different about the new hardware was that it would allow you to direct what had before been pre-rendered and make it in real-time. So, even in very dynamic scenes, the player will still be able to control the character.
Tetsuya also talked about how realistic the graphics would be. Fans can expect a totally new experience, graphically, from this game. The realism of the graphics has progressed to the point that the level of quality that used to be relegated to pre-recorded movies within the game will now be in the playerÔÇÖs real-time control.
Also, a PC version of the game has apparently been shelved. According to a report, Daniel Sims, a freelance writer, said that Square Enix will not produce a PC version of the game. He tweeted the news.
