Cita:It looks like Guitar Hero will be coming to the current gen. European magazine Gamereactor printed the news on its website, only to take it down soon thereafter, but not before it was captured for posterity on NeoGAF.

According to an invitation sent out to German media outlets, the game is set to be announced in "Hamburg Rock City" on April 1. Rumors first began to surface at the end of February, with a Rock Band reveal expected for E3 2015.

Harmonix, not to be outdone, countered with news that it would be reviving its own rhythm franchise Rock Band for Xbox One and PS4 the next week. The first shots in the great rhythm game franchise wars were fired.

No mention of Guitar Hero is explicitly made in the reported invitations sent to German outlets, however. The invitation asks journalists to come and "rock the shack with us," so there's a very slight chance it could be an entirely new B-52s simulator. But really, it's probably Guitar Hero, and that's good news for fans of the series. We've reached out to Activision to see if it has anything to say about the report and we'll update the story when we hear back.
