This update will make significant improvements to your PS4 experience, making it even more streamlined and enjoyable. PlayStation 4 v2.50 update

Features coming to PS4 with ÔÇ£YukimuraÔÇØ include:
Ôûá Suspend/Resume: Supported by nearly all of your PS4 games, you can jump in and out of your games with just the press of the PS button.┬á Quickly switch from Rest Mode to powered-up so you can pick up where you left off.
Ôûá Back-up and restore HDD to USB: Back-up and restore your hard disc drive data associated with users on your PS4, including settings, saved data, screenshots and video clips as well as games, patches and download data, to and from an external USB drive.
Ôûá Find and connect with friends: ÔÇ£YukimuraÔÇØ adds to an already robust set of social tools, bringing several updates to continue making PS4 the best place to play with your friends, including: Ôûá Facebook friend finder ÔÇô Using your linked account, you can expand your network by searching and connecting with your Facebook friends.
Ôûá Improved friend requests ÔÇô Friend requests and Real Name requests can be sent together in one step when adding a friend on PS4.
Ôûá Streamlined Party process ÔÇô The process to create a Party has been streamlined with a reduction in the number of steps required.
Ôûá Find friends who play your games ÔÇô Easily view what friends are playing on each game detail page with a real-time ÔÇ£Friends Who Play ThisÔÇØ section, which also highlights which friends are currently online and playing it, and allows you to jump directly into the game.
Ôûá Join Friends directly from news feed ÔÇô A new tile will be added on your WhatÔÇÖs New feed where you can see what your friends are currently playing, enabling you to join in the game if you own it.

Ôûá Share earned trophies and optimise your trophy list: We know that Trophies are important to many gamers, so weÔÇÖre bringing more control with how you show them off: Ôûá Automatic Trophy screenshots ÔÇô A screenshot will automatically be captured when a Trophy is earned, preserving the moment to share with friends.

PlayStation Vita and PlayStation App for smartphones and tablets will also receive system software updates tonight, adding complementary features to those added to PS4. PS Vita update version 3.50 and PlayStation App update version 2.50 will add new accessibility options, including enlarged text, increased contrast and more. This update also enables PS Vita to support 60fps streaming for Remote Play.

Una cosa que suelo dar la murga a los amigos con ps4 y ONE cada vez que van saliendo actualizaciones es como van estas máquinas actualmente a nivel de reproductor de videos, tanto por calidad como por formatos y codecs soportados. Sé que ha habido tormentas foriles por esto ("si te compras una consola es para jugar, no sé de que os quejáis") viniendo de una pasada generación que justamente vendía que nuestras máquinas fuesen centros multimedia para algo más que juegos, pero es que ps3 me ha dado y me sigue dando buenas satisfacciones como reproductor y me gustaría ver si cuando de el salto de consolas podré también usarlas para este menester o tendré que seguir con la ps3 conectada a la tele también.

Me uno a tu pregunta. Por curiosidad más que nada.

A mi el aspecto que mas me cabrea con diferencia de PS4 es que no reproduce vídeos de almacenamientos externos.. no tiene reproductor vamos, solo puedes reproducir lo que hayas grabado con el share o los BR o DVD originales, así que sigo usando PS3 para ver películas, lo mismo para las fotos.

Respecto a la actualización, lo mas interesante sin duda es lo del mapeado de botones.

@Yonix y @Rosstheboss yo os puedo hablar de ONE pero de PS4 al no tenerla ni idea.

En one se lo come prácticamente todo hasta MKV (eso si, sin subtitulos aún). Sacaron una app llamada multimedia creo, no recuerdo bien su nombre ahora, en la que puedes acceder al DLNA y coger los videos del PC o del pendrive/hdd externo y reproducirlos también. Plex también funciona en la consola(en ps4 también) aunque yo uso Universal Media Server y se que los de XBMC están también haciendo algo en ONE.

Por otra parte, conociendo la fiabilidad de los firmware de sony y más con este que parece bastante tocho yo me esperaría unos dias antes de instalarlo, por si acaso.

Coño mkv's en juan, esto es una excelente noticia. Supongo que con el paso del tiempo tendremos en ambas una buena reproducción de vídeos. Me choca de cojones eso de que ps4 no reconozca llaves o HDD 's externos para fotos y vídeos pero imagino que con el tiempo esto también se arreglará. Zanks revoc y yop

Se bajan solas con la consola encendida... si no la tienes ni enchufada como mi WiiU y XBOX One desde hace casi un año, pues va a ser dificil jajaja
