Responsibilities

┬À Designing core game features in a AAA console.
┬À Creating detailed design documentation and working closely with programmers, artists, and UI designers teams to implement game features.
┬À Mentoring and leading design of project.
┬À Guiding the design of a feature throughout implementation, iteration, and polish, ensuring it meets the quality standard and vision for the product.
┬À Tuning & balancing systems to meet the quality and accessibility goals of the design, and hold up under the stress of competitive gameplay.
┬À Taking over the design for existing features when necessary, and driving them throughout development.
┬À Analyzing feedback and data from playtests and iterating the design.
┬À Coordinating with QA and providing test specifications.
┬À Bringing new and innovative ideas.
┬À Remaining current on industry trends and techniques in game design.

Skills and Qualifications

┬À Strong background in melee combat game design practice & theory
┬À 10+ years of experience with 5-7 being in a Sr. role.
┬À Minimum of 3-5 AAA console title shipped in a design role.
┬À Provable success in creating fun, commercially viable, and high-quality melee combat gameplay through mechanics/systems.
┬À Strong knowledge of the melee combat product space.
┬À A mature, professional attitude and work ethic.
┬À You need to be able to champion your ideas, yet accept and value the ideas of others.
┬À Strong organizational skills
┬À Ability to drive a feature from concept to design documentation to implementation to iteration and polish.
┬À Character based animation and design implementation.
┬À Previous design experience working with melee combat.
┬À Familiarity with the Unreal Engine and tools
┬À Experience balancing a AAA multiplayer gameÔÇÖs wide array of systems and content.
