Darkstalkers Resurrection will bring two of the franchiseÔÇÖs games to the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade as a single, downloadable bundle early next year, Capcom just announced during a New York Comic Con 2012 panel.

The package includes 1994ÔÇÿs Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors and Darkstalkers III, and is being produced by Capcom's Derek Neil.

Both games will include GGPO-technology to reduce online gameplay lag, HD filtering with multiple viewing options, replay sharing, spectator mode, in-game achievements, challenge/tutorial mode and an unlockable vault filled concept art, videos and more.

The online matchmaking will follow in the footsteps of Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition and Marvel vs. Capcom Origins, which include upgraded matchmaking with additional options such as region matching, ping lock and ping display. The title will also feature YouTube replay uploading.

This reveal comes after years of Capcom's Yoshinori Ono dropping hints about revisiting the 90s gothic horror fighter franchise. Whether fans of the series will be satiated by this re-release remains to be seen.

Después de la reedición de alguno de sus títulos como Street fighter 3 o Yoyo's bizarre adventure era de esperar.

Street Fighter III Online va jodidamente horrible, los filtros son peores que los que se pueden ver en los mods de los emuladores y tampoco es que se matasen con los extras (HUD horrendo para los challenges).

El Jojo's por lo visto es igual, y no me extrañaría que este lo fuese. GG XX AC R no parece la panacea, pero al menos le pasa la mano por la cara a los port con filtros de Capcom.

Este debe ser junto a Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts uno de los chascos más terribles que me he llevado en esta generación.
Ya había escuchado las intenciones de Capcom acerca de sacar un nuevo DarkStalkers y estaba bastante emocionado al respecto... Pero resulta que no es realmente un juego nuevo sino una reedición.

Esto NO es lo que los fans pedíamos. Más bien parece un corte de mangas.

Tantas apariciones de personajes de la saga en crossovers recientes de Capcom como Marvel vs Capcom 3 y Project X Zone tenía que dar frutos: la reaparición de la saga.

Sin duda una gran noticia para los fans de la lucha 2D y que abre la esperanza de ver Darkstalkers 4 en un futuro no tan lejano.
