It looks like CDPR got itself into trouble by disclosing sale numbers of The Witcher 3 to the public without publishing that information in the ESPI system - used by investors to track company reports. This is against the Polish law and they are now being investigated by the Polish Financial Conduct Authority. The maximum penalty imposed on the company may be as high as $1.3 million - their total net income last year.
In its defense CDPR argues that it was merely a marketing information, something that the same law forbids them from posting as a company report.
