Mr. Driller: Drill Land is the name of the Mr. Driller game released for GameCube in December 2002 in Japan. It was never released in the west.
The European trademark follows a Japanese trademark in September 2019 for “Mr. Driller Encore,” which included a logo. Bandai Namco first used the subtitle “Encore” for Katamari Damacy remaster Katamari Damacy Reroll, which is known as Katamari Damacy Encore in Japan, and launched for Switch and PC in December 2018. The company is also working on an remastered Kotoba no Puzzle: Moji Pittan Wii Deluxe called Kotoba no Puzzle: Moji Pittan Encore, which is due out for Switch this spring in Japan.
The Japanese trademark for “Mr. Driller Encore” did not indicate which Mr. Driller game Bandai Namco may be remastering, but the newly registered European trademark for “Mr. Driller: Drill Land” seems to indicate it is the Japan-exclusive GameCube title of the same name.
