Many Nintendo Switch owners are wondering when they can get their hands on Yooka-Laylee. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game are out in just a couple of weeks leaving Switch owners a little frustrated. The developer PlayTonic says that it’s a bit early to go into specifics regarding the Nintendo Switch version which makes it sound as though it’s someway off.

We’re big Nintendo fans here, so it’s very exciting to be working on Nintendo Switch.

GS: Are there any plans for content updates post launch?


F: We have a day 1 patch coming but that is more of a visual and balancing update… We’ll have to see about content updates, the stuff we have on launch is pretty
tough to beat as it is!


GS: Do you see yourselves bringing past games like Trine to the Switch?

F: We’ve done so many ports over the years for Trine and Trine 2 that we’d rather concentrate on bringing some totally new games to the Switch now. It might be an option further down the line though.

Anunciado Kamiko para Nintendo Switch. Un juego de acción con estética retro que llegará a Japón en abril

El último número de Famitsu viene con sorpresa para los usuarios de Nintendo Switch entre sus páginas. Skipmore, desarrolladores de la saga Fairune y Drancia, están a punto de terminar su primer juego para Nintendo Switch, Kamiko. Y cuando decimos que están a punto de terminar, es que el desarrollo actual se encuentra al 90% y el juego se lanzará en la eShop japonesa en algún momento de abril a un precio de 500 yens.

 Ayuda a las Doncellas de las Diosas en Kamiko para Nintendo Switch



En Kamiko debemos asumir el papel de una de las Doncellas de las Diosas, (“Kamiko” en japones, de ahí el título), y avanzar por las diferentes pantallas hasta dar caza a los jefes de las mismas. Cada una de estas Doncellas tendrá sus propias características, habilidades e historia:

• Yamato: Se trata de una chica descendiente de un largo linaje de Doncellas de agua. Usa una espada de largo alcance llamada “Kuasanagi no Tsurugi.”
  
• Uzume: Pertenece al linaje de las Doncellas de tierra. Su arma es un arco que recibe el nombre de “Yasakani no Magatama”.
  
• Hinome: Es la miembro más joven de las Doncellas de fuego y lucha lanzando su escudo, Yata no Kagami, como si fuese un búmeran.
  

 
Aún queda por saber si Kamiko llegará a Occidente, pero viendo que la saga Fairune si ha llegado podemos ser optimistas.

Cave Story + llegará el 20 de Junio a Switch y habrá version física

Nicalis has previously teased that Cave Story will be heading to the Nintendo Switch and they’ve now confirmed that it’s coming as Cave Story+. The game will be released on June 20th for $29.99. Cave Story+ will featured enhanced visuals, seven play modes, over twenty boss battles, fifteen levels, ten unique weapons, and four unique endings. You can check out the glorious box-art, below:

The Fall: Unbound anuncia version Switch pero cancela la version WiiU



Over the Moon, the developers behind indie darling The Fall, have announced today that its sequel will make the jump to the Nintendo Switch. The Fall: Unbound was originally planned to be released on the Wii U but the developer has cited the fact that Nintendo has moved on from the platform as the reason why they’ve ditched that particular version. The Fall: Unbound is scheduled for the third quarter of 2017.

]We’re coming to the Nintendo Switch! This is great news obviously, but it also appears that Nintendo is switching (hah) focus to promoting that platform over the Wii U. For that reason we’ve decided to focus on resources on supporting the Switch instead of the Wii U. As indies, we simply don’t have the luxury of supporting a platform that’s clearly being sunsetted. I was confident that we’d make it in time, but everyone’s moving on to greener pastures and we’d be fools to stay behind.
