Indie developer Chequered Cow Games has announced that it’s bringing its second title, Power Pool Slam, exclusively to Nintendo 3DS. The game is a sports sim in which you can make your Mii a pool master by defeating your friends locally and online. Your Mii’s stats can be increased through gameplay to enhance your chances of making it to the top. Several control methods are supported, such as touch and analog inputs. You can also play from three different angles – first person, third person and overhead. Power Pool Slam features and screenshots are as follows:

Nintendo será la editora de Monster Hunter Stories en occidente

After debuting in Japan last October, Monster Hunter Stories is heading west this fall. What’s interesting about the western release is that Nintendo seems to be publishing the game in all overseas territories.

Our first hint came from the April Nintendo Direct where Monster Hunter Stories’ localization was announced. Rather than Capcom, Nintendo was included in the publisher label when the footage was introduced.

Now we have the Australian classification to go off of as well. Capcom is included as the “author” (developer), but once again, Nintendo is listed as its publisher. This could be the first Monster Hunter game to be published by Nintendo in all western regions.

Layton’s Mystery Journey llegará en otoño, estreno simultáneo en todo el mundo

LEVEL-5 announced today that the newest entry into the Professor Layton game series is LAYTON’S MYSTERY JOURNEY: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy and will be released simultaneously around the world on July 20th, 2017. For the first time, a game in the Professor Layton series will be released as a mobile game in addition to a traditional video game.

Formerly titled Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadne’s Conspiracy, this new installment of the Professor Layton series is a strategic mystery puzzle solving game that follows Katrielle Layton, who searches for her missing father Professor Hershel Layton.

Published globally by LEVEL-5 abby LAYTON’S MYSTERY JOURNEY: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy will launch simultaneously on iOS and Android platforms on July 20, 2017, with a Nintendo 3DS game to follow in autumn 2017 and will be available in eight languages at launch. Over the past ten years, the Professor Layton series has had huge global success selling over 16.0 million units worldwide.

The new title is an exciting departure from previous games in the Professor Layton series as it is made up of a combination of smaller conundrums and puzzles that need to be solved in order to complete the overall mystery. This new format is going to appeal to existing Layton fans as well as attract a brand new audience.

Un Layton a estas alturas.
Acabé un poco agotado de los Layton por salir demasiado juntos, cada año salía una entrega.
Pienso que Level 5 podría haber aprovechado mejor esta franquicia con entregas más separadas en el tiempo.
