It follows rumours during the race for Steve Ballmers job that potential CEO candidate Stephen Elop was poised to sell off the Xbox brand, if he secured the role. Nadella won out however, and seems confident in the firmÔÇÖs console strategy.
The Verge reports that Nadella made his statement during the Code Conference in California this week.
Speaking with interviewers Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg, Nadella stressed, ÔÇ£I have no intent to do anything different with Xbox than we are doing today.ÔÇØ
That promise extents to Bing, which is now integrated into a wealth of Microsoft products.
Nadella added of his stance won hardware versus software, ÔÇ£It is the thing that is really going to power all the experiences on all the devices today and tomorrow.
ÔÇ£In order to be in the hunt for those experiences, and get it right, you do need to from time to time build devices, so you donÔÇÖt leave anything to chance.ÔÇØ
So it sounds like Xbox will remain at Microsoft for the foreseeable future. What do you think?
