10 de los mejores RPG de PS3 según la OPM UK - charliewoodhead - 16-05-2012

10 of the best RPGs on PS3
http://www.officialplaystationmagazine.co.uk/2012/05/16/best-rpgs-on-ps3/

Dark Souls

Opening up 10 of the best RPGs on PS3 is a game that feels stressful, tense and at times completely unpleasant. Dark Soul nightmarish difficulty and vertical learning curves create an intense experience. In order to survive you need to master the virtues of patience, adapt to different enemy behaviours and always, always, always keep your guard up. Once youÔÇÖve grasped the basics though Dark Souls envelops you in a morbid fantasy world where every creature is out to make sure youÔÇÖre dead but youÔÇÖll carry on going just for the boastful glory of completion.

Mass Effect 2

Disgusted we chose to include Mass Effect 2 over its climactic brother? Calm down, put away your pitchforks and hear us out. Mass Effect 3 is incredible but it finished a story arc we never wanted to end. Mass Effect 2 is all about the build up and anticipation. When in full swing this is phenomenal, balancing meaningful interactions between you and your squad mates with flawlessly paced action. Assaulting a skyscraper full of mercenaries with Thane, breaking a tattooed crim out of a supposedly impenetrable space prison and admiring the view from the Illusive ManÔÇÖs office are all highlights not matched before or since.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Human Revolution is the thinkerÔÇÖs RPG; an artistic masterpiece overflowing with renaissance style and a future vibe that reveals transhumanism conspiracies and espionage. You play as Adam Jensen, a trenchcoat wearing cyborg with a gruff voice on a hunt across the globe for bionic terrorists. Like Mass Effect, this is all about choice. Whether you go with stealth, tech manipulation or the good old-fashioned guns blazing through the front door, Human Revolution reacts as you act.

Dragon Age: Origins

The perfect example of traditional RPG style updated for console. Dragon Age offers up a heavy dose of character interaction, player choice and bloody, tactical combat. From the endlessly branching conversation trees to the various political pickles youÔÇÖll encounter through the campaign, this does a remarkably impressive job of making the adventure feel like your own. Your companions judge you differently depending on how your approach to scenarios aligns with their own moral agendas, whether they decide to befriend or scrutinise you all depends on you. Dragon Age stands tall as a traditional western RPG thatÔÇÖs brutal, rude, funny and engrossing from the off.

Fallout 3

Set in a wasteland ravaged by nuclear fire Fallout 3 has an incredibly violent, dark tone and is laced with plenty of twisted humour. Plus thereÔÇÖs limitless freedom to do as you please, quests galore and a host of fabulous discoveries. The VATS aiming system adds an entirely new tactical element to combat as you pick off limbs to cripple enemies or reduce their ability to attack, while moral dilemmas are suitably twisted to fit in with a world gone wrong.

Final Fantasy XIII-2

XIII-2 is what XIII shouldÔÇÖve been. A departure from linearity, XIII-2 sets you free to quest and explore an open world, using time travel to shift through the ages. The combat is an enhanced version of the slick, fast-paced battle system we saw in XIII, one which successfully keeps every encounter fresh and engaging and never resorts to mindless button mashing. The characters are less annoying ÔÇô looking at you, Vanille ÔÇô the focus is more satisfying and XIII-2 proves to be the return to form that Final Fantasy so desperately needed.

Borderlands

A mixture of first person gunplay and vehicular combat make for some ridiculous mayhem on your own or with friends, although co-op is the best way to play. ThereÔÇÖs a competitive streak to the action that keeps you and your buddies on your toes as you hoover up loot and guns. So much loot and guns. The parched world of Pandora also makes for an interested place to explore full of free roaming quests, weird monsters and crazy bandit.

Eternal Sonata

Otherwise known as ÔÇÿthat one where youÔÇÖre playing inside the dying Fredric ChopinÔÇÖs head while he dreamsÔÇÖ. Weird, yes but this glows with an incredible charm. You play as a handful of characters, each with their own objectives and intertwining story lines and what makes Eternal Sonata so perfect is how it all comes together. Add in the combat, which differs depending on whether youÔÇÖre in light or darkness and you have a deceptively deep package that that compels you to stick with your comrades till the end.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

AmalurÔÇÖs combat is best in class. ThereÔÇÖs no mindless hacking and slashing like youÔÇÖll find in Skyrim, instead this is all about fluid attacks as warriors cleave enemies in two, rogues sneak around slitting throats and mages reign down fire, ice and lightning. It looks wonderful, it feels fulfilling and there are no constraints on how you want to play. It might not boast the sheer scale of Skyrim, the production values of Final Fantasy XIII-2 or the amazing characterisation of Mass Effect, but Amalur is a role-playing experience dedicated to providing fun and it wholly succeeds.

Skyrim

Despite its potential problems on the PS3 Skyrim is still (for the most part)┬á a masterful experience. ItÔÇÖs the kind of the RPG you dream about: a fantasy playground where you can do anything, whenever and however you want. Whether you favour a hammer capable of crushing banditsÔÇÖ heads, a bow for sniping or an arsenal of arcane abilities, Skyrim has it all. YouÔÇÖll even find fun in sauntering around the tundra picking flowers and snatching butterflies. Throw in the fact it looks mouth wateringly pretty, sounds beautiful and can potentially last forever thanks to spawning quests and thereÔÇÖs very little Skyrim canÔÇÖt offer the average RPG enthusiast.
