Cita:After all the recent speculation, 2K has come clean and let the world know that the XCOM universe is indeed expanding and that the company plans to share more details about the long-awaited squad-based tactical shooter from 2K Marin in a matter of days.
This according to a blog post over on the official 2K Games website that explains how the often-in-flux project has been finding its feet ever since it was first announced back in 2010.
"The creative development of this game has been a collaborative process of discovery and iteration," reads the post. "2KÔÇÖs culture allows our studios the freedom to refine their visions, to explore new ideas, and to deliver the best possible experiences for players. Through this exploration, 2K Marin has refined their vision, and as a result the game has evolved into a high-stakes narrative experience imbued with core XCOM concepts."
