CD PROJEKT RED, creators of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the next-generation, open world fantasy RPG hitting stores February 24th, 2015, is excited to unveil their FREE DLC program for the game.

The FREE DLC program for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt consists of 16 entirely free DLCs, that will be available for every gamer owning a copy of Wild Hunt, for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PC, and PlayStation┬«4, and is applicable to all versions (digital or physical, standard or CollectorÔÇÖs).

On February 25th, CD PROJEKT RED will release the first bundle of DLCs (2 of the planned 16) -- the Temerian Armor Set (horse armor included) and a Beard and Hairstyle Set for Geralt, the gameÔÇÖs protagonist. After this date, a DLC bundle consisting of two DLCs will be published every week, entirely for free. Gamers are entitled to the free DLC regardless of obtaining the game via pre-order or after launch. Instructions on how to obtain DLCs on specific platforms will be provided at a later date.

Q: What do I have to do to receive the 16 free DLCs?
A: The only thing you need to do to receive the 16 DLCs is purchase The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. All of the DLCs will be available for free on every platform (i.e. Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4).

Q: Do I have to pre-order to get the free DLCs?
A: No, each piece of content will be available for download regardless of you buying the game before or after launch on February 24th, 2015.

Q: I have the standard version of the game (i.e. not the CollectorÔÇÖs Edition). Do I still get the free DLCs?
A: Yes. You get the 16 DLCs regardless of the version of the game you bought (i.e. standard or Collector's, digital or physical).

Q: WhatÔÇÖs the plan? When can I expect the DLCs to be released?
A: The plan is to release a new DLC bundle (each bundle contains two DLCs) on a weekly basis, following the gameÔÇÖs launch February 24th, 2015. The first DLC bundle will be released the next day on February 25th. The next bundle will be available for download a week after that, on March 4th, the next on March 11th, and so on. The first bundle will contain the Temerian Armor Set and a Beard and Hairstyle Set for Geralt. The second bundle will contain an additional quest and an alternative look for one of the gameÔÇÖs main characters -- Yennefer of Vengerberg.

O sea, da igual cuando compres el juego o qué versión sea, siempre te regalarán los dlc.

Bueno, pues si no hay más remedio se acepta...

Ahi, premieando a quien compre el juego, lo haga de la manera que sea. Asi se incentiva la compra de un juego, aunquesea pagando unos euros en un Humble Bundle...

Buenas:

Siempre he pensado que la industria castiga, en cierto modo, al que encima compra de lanzamiento. Si yo compro un juego de primeras obtengo la peor versión del juego pagando el máximo posible.

Pero con CDProject tengo la tranquilidad de que si compro el juego de lanzamiento tendré una gran versión, con su CD, su mapa... y todo el contenido, todo.

Y pensar que he leído en otros sitios a gente quejarse de CDProject en plan que por qué no lo meten todo de primeras, que esto es recortado... A ver, recortado es tener DLCs el día 1 en el disco bloqueados y cobrártelos a parte, esto es más bien un "cachis nos han faltado 6 meses pero no os preocupéis que tendréis todo lo que se debe".

En fin, a ver si lo optimizan bien en Pc porque miedo me dan sus requisitos... Y a ver que tal Cyberpunk, en serio hubiese preferido que estos se encargasen de un Shadowrun AAA ahora que la franquicia ha llamado un pelín la atención con el Dragonfall, pero a falta de pan...

Luego las demás sacan 2 ó 3 y resulta que es "pagar por alargar la experiencia". Estos señores alargan la experiencia y no te cobran aparte, y encima estos no son una súper compañía que nada en billetes de 500.

No sé si viene en ese texto porque no sé inglés, pero en una declaración sobre esto han dicho: "¿Acaso no hemos pagado ya bastante por ese juego nuevo?"

Pero son DLC's de salida? por que si es así habría que cambiar el título a: Compra The Witcher 3 y no te cercenamos por la patilla 16 DLCs ya planeados.

Si son tras la salida entonces me callo, aunque todo depende de que tipo de DLC's sean

No, no son de salida. Según tengo entendido es contenido que no le ha dado tiempo al equipo de desarrollo a tener listo a tiempo así que tenían varias opciones:

1- Dejarlo ahí para un The Witcher 4.

2- Ir sacando DLCs.

Han optado por la segunda, que es hoy la habitual, pero sin cobrártelos. En plan "esto es todo lo que teníamos planeado para el juego y si no está es porque no hemos podido pero lo vas a tener porque era nuestro compromiso".

Si no he leído mal creo que irá saliendo a lo largo de los meses siguientes a la salida del juego. Y no creo que sean de chichinabo, que el 2 se vio extendido en 10 gigazas ni más ni menos.

Ya ponen que es por comprar el juego, sea la versión que sea y cuando sea.

A mi me parece estupendo que hagan estas cosas, y de hecho ya les he apoyado comprándoles el juego a ellos directamente en GOG.

Pues a mi me parece mal, yo prefiero pagar por el contenido extra, sobre todo por el Day 1 y los Pases de Temporada...

La verdad, suena tan bien que casi parece hasta mentira...

Y vaya, no he comprado ningún Witcher hasta la fecha, pero este cae 100% seguro┬á

CDProject demostrando como se tienen que hacer las cosas CDProject y Valve son de las pocas compañías que conozco que hacen estas cosas. En los juegos de Valve por ejemplo suelen incluirte los DLCs de forma gratuita en los juegos (el Portal 2 tuvo un DLC que dieron gratis que añadía algunas pruebas más y L4D2 tuvo varios DLCs que incluían 2 campañas nuevas y todas las campañas del primer L4D de forma totalmente gratuita).

pues ya estan vendiendo estos juegos incompletos.  Ya solo queda Valve y no se yo....
