So, despite Famitsu having higher Hardware sales, on the software side, Media Create has every game with higher sales than Famitsu (except Splatoon 2, that with the current trend will fall soon).
And probably smaller games have a similar pattern.

So, download cards sales seems to be almost irrelevant. You can say that there is no need to buy the code in a store if you can purchase the game directly from home.
Download cards only makes difference when there is lack of stores and some buyers switch to digital at that moment.

Also, Amazon.jp that is only tracked by Media Create seems to be increasing its share market in Japan. There were a lot of Zelda, Mario Kart or Arms exclusive bundles from Amazon.jp.
