A trusted hardware source with knowledge of ValveÔÇÖs Steam Machines project told PC Gamer at PAX East that ValveÔÇÖs Steam Controller will release in October or November of 2014.

The current, prototype version of the Steam Controller was refreshed in mid-March when Valve announced that itÔÇÖd added two four-button button diamonds between the haptic trackpads.

Our source added that the completion of ValveÔÇÖs Steam Controller was the final piece that would precede the availability of most Steam Machines, which indicates that Steam Machines will also begin to release at the end of the year. The source also told PC Gamer that they expect ÔÇ£about 500ÔÇØ games to be natively playable on SteamOS by the end of this year, up from the current count of 382.

WeÔÇÖre looking forward to testing the Steam Controller and SteamOS in unison once both are fully released. Our last hands-on with the Steam Controller prototype at GDC didnÔÇÖt impress us.

Yo he leído reviews que no lo ponen muy bien, ni mucho menos al nivel de un pad de la 360, demasiada sensibilidad para según qué géneros, aunque a lo mejor es sólo cuestión de acostumbrarse a su peculiaridad. Yo el pad que espero de verdad en PC es el de One.

Yo es que juego con el pad de 360 en el Pc, ya que tengo la Tv delante de la cama y jugar con ratón y teclado se me hace muy incómodo, así que veo el pad como algo que me facilite jugar a los juegos de estrategia sin necesidad de usar el teclado y ratón. Por eso le tengo ganas

Yo es que no entiendo muy bien este mando. Se supone que es un hibrido entre el pad y el ratón + teclado pero no veo que haya mercado para el. Vamos que no es habitual jugar desde la cama a un rts con un mando y no creo que sea un sustituto muy eficiente. Para todo lo demás siempre será mejor o el pad normal o el teclado + ratón por el otro.
