Aproximadamente el 30% de los juegos de Switch usan Unity
Battle Chasers: Nightwar was delayed on Switch, with the developer indicating that Unity was one reason for that. Yooka-Laylee also hasn’t made it onto the console yet with the engine also cited. Playtonic is waiting on Unity 5.6 to help address some “technical hurdles”.
For its part, Unity says that over 30% of games for Switch are made with the tech. The company is also working with Nintendo to optimize Unity for the platform.
Hiroki Omae, Unity’s Japan regional director, said in a statement:

“We continue to partner closely with Nintendo to optimize Unity on Switch, and are happy to see our developers finding great success on the system.”

Switch es la plataforma donde más está vendiendo Has-Been Heroes
On the latest episode of Fragments of Silicon, Kai Tuovinen from Frozenbyte was interviewed. Tuovinen was asked about the already-released Has-Been Heroes as well as Nine Parchments.
To begin, Tuovinen indicated that Has-Been Heroes has been selling the best on Switch. Tuovinen didn’t share any specific numbers, though that was in part due to since he didn’t have any information on-hand. Switch’s small library could have played a role in the strong performance, but the fact that people were interested in the game and were giving it a shot was encouraging.
As for Nine Parchments, Tuovinen talked a bit about the Switch version. It won’t support touchscreen controls, but Frozenbyte is planning on supporting single Joy-Con play. The game will run at 30 frames per second on Switch and at least 720p in portable mode. Frozenbyte also hasn’t encountered any difficulties getting Nine Parchments up and running on Switch.
Nine Parchments should be out on all platforms and all regions at the same time later this holiday. Frozenbyte is currently gearing up for the submission process. At launch, it’ll cost $20.

Don’t Knock Twice confirma su lanzamiento el 17 de Octubre. Muchos más juegos en camino de la desarrolladora en 2018
Earlier this week, Nintendo’s website listed Don’t Knock Twice for Switch. Wales Interactive sent out an official announcement today, confirming an October 17 launch. The game will launch digitally on the eShop at 00:00am (local) for $12.49 / £9.99 / €12.49.
Don’t Knock Twice is just the start of Wales Interactive’s Switch support. The company is planning “several more” titles for Switch in 2018.

This is the first Switch game to be announced from Wales Interactive, the studio behind the Wii U titles Master Reboot and Soul Axiom, and will evolve the Switch’s horror genre category.
Don’t Knock Twice is a first-person horror game based on a psychologically terrifying urban legend. To save her estranged daughter, a guilt-ridden mother must uncover the frightening truth behind the urban tale of a vengeful, demonic witch. One knock to wake her from her bed, twice to raise her from the dead.
To find and save your daughter, you will explore all depths of a grand manor house, searching for hidden clues and wield items to escape the terror that surrounds you.
The game was developed alongside the 2017 horror film, Don’t Knock Twice, starring Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) and directed by Caradog James (The Machine). This is in partnership with Ffilm Cymru Wales and Red and Black Films.
