Ron Gilbert en conversaciones con Nintendo para adaptar Thimbleweed Park a Switch cuanto antes

Former LucasArts developers Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick are currently finishing up their new point-and-click adventure game Thimbleweed Park. It won’t be on Switch immediately, but it sounds like it’s just a matter of time until it appears on the eShop.


Gilbert told Gamereactor:

Cita:“We’re gonna be at Xbox One at launch, Microsoft has a three month console exclusive. As soon as that period is up, we port it to the PlayStation 4, and I would love to be on Nintendo.”

“Nintendo is not particularly good at working with small developers and publishers initially, they like to go out to the big publishers and after a year they let smaller things in. We are definitely talking to Nintendo and as soon as we can do, we will port it.”

Thimbleweed Park is intended to be a spiritual successor of sorts to Maniac Mansion and The Secret of Monkey Island. You can watch a trailer for the game below.

Mutant Football League podría llegar a Nintendo Switch



Como antecedente directo de este título que podría llegar a la nueva consola de Nintendo, habría que nombrar a una saga desarrollada por Electronic Arts denominada con el mismo nombre de este juego, que apareció por primera vez para Sega Genesis en el año 1993 y mostró el fútbol desde una perspectiva diferente, más centrada en una guerra que en un partido de balompié.

Ahora es Digital Dream Entertaiment,desarrolladora del título,  quien volverá a utilizar la temática que fue usada en el siglo XX, aunque se desconoce con exactitud si el videojuego llegará a Nintendo Switch. Las palabras de los desarrolladores fueron las siguientes:

Cita:Por ahora nuestra prioridad es PC, Xbox One y PlayStation 4. Pero una vez hecho esto estamos considerando una versión para móviles y también otra para Nintendo Switch. Estamos hablando actualmente con Nintendo, aunque aún no se ha decidido nada. A Nintendo le gusta el proyecto. Somos grandes fans de Nintendo y esperamos hacerlo posible. Os mantendremos informados.

De cualquier forma, aún hay tiempo de sobra para sopesar si finalmente este Mutant Football League verá la luz o no en la híbrida de Nintendo pues su llegada a consolas se espera para la primavera de 2018.

En el GDC 2017 se mostrarán nuevos juegos Indies para Switch

Nintendo is well-known for its high quality first party titles but without the help of ‘Nindies’, the eShop probably wouldn’t be as vibrant as it is today. Engadget recently spoke to a Nintendo rep who reiterated that they know the importance of independent developers saying:

Cita:“Nintendo greatly values its collaborations with indie developers across the world, and is working closely with them on a wide range of content,” the representative says. “We look forward to discussing more as we approach GDC 2017.”

Nintendo have over the recent years tended to embrace smaller studios and often hold annual events to show just that. With the Nintendo Switch launch just a few weeks away, it’s good to see that their goals are still set on providing a good amount of games to play on their new system. Let’s just hope that quality prevails over quantity.

Yo igual Chente, la verdad es que varios de los nindies que van anunciando me interesan, pero en digital. En 3DS ya hice igual y tengo un buen catálogo en la SD de la consola

Snake Pass llega a Switch el 29 de Marzo, a la vez que el resto de plataformas

The charming 3D platformer Snake Pass from Sumo Digital, the developers behind Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing, will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch on March 29th. The celebratory news was confirmed in a new trailer for the game which you can watch below. Snake Pass is also arriving on a number of other platforms including the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the very same date.

Portal Knights podría estar camino de Switch

Portal Knights may see a release on the Nintendo Switch in the future. Reddit user ‘FlyinWhee’, who works for an independent games retailer in Canada, claims that because of a recent ‘prebook listing’, Portal Knights could see the light of day on the Switch. The listing image can be found here.


Portal Knights will be available on Steam on 25th February and if the games’ description is anything to go by, it would be a great addition to the ever-growing list of Nintendo Switch titles.

Ultimate Chicken Horse en desarrollo para Switch

Ultimate Chicken Horse is coming to consoles, including Switch. Clever Endeavour Games shared the news with Eurogamer today.


Categorized as a party platformer, Ultimate Chicken Horse is a game “where you build the level as you play, taking turns placing traps and hazards and trying to screw your friends out of a win.” There are a bunch of blocks to use, customizable game modes, and more.

Originally, Ultimate Chicken Horse debuted on PC last year. This new version of the game contains a Free Play mode in which players can make their own levels from scratch rather than simply place objects into existing terrain.

Ultimate Chicken Horse doesn’t have a release date on Switch yet, but it’s targeted for this summer. A trailer for the game is below.
