Little Nightmares en desarrollo para Switch

New evidence has emerged pointing to a release of the well-received horror puzzle platformer Little Nightmares on Switch. The news comes from the CV of a staffer at Engine Software – a company that has previously handled Switch ports. Engine Software previously worked on The Escapists 2, Blossom Tales, and Monopoly for Switch.

The employee at the studio makes it pretty clear that the port is happening. We have the relevant excerpt from the LinkedIn profile below:

Tarsier Studios originally created Little Nightmares, and Bandai Namco first published the title last year. Here’s a brief overview and trailer:

Immerse yourself in Little Nightmares, a dark whimsical tale that will confront you with your childhood fears! Help Six escape The Maw – a vast, mysterious vessel inhabited by corrupted souls looking for their next meal. As you progress on your journey, explore the most disturbing dollhouse offering a prison to escape from and a playground full of secrets to discover. Reconnect with your inner child to unleash your imagination and find the way out!

Late last year, Canadian developer Red Barrels announced that Outlast and Outlast 2 would be coming to the Switch in early 2018, but news has been fairly quiet on it since then.
But if you check the eShop right now, you might be in for a shock — Outlast: Bundle of Terror is available right now. The extremely popular psychological horror game has the player take control of investigative journalist Miles Upshur as he wanders the halls of Mount Massive Asylum, where countless horrors await.

Outlast originally released on PC back in 2013 to near-universal acclaim, with critics and players across the world praising it for its sense of atmosphere and just pure spook factor. The Bundle of Terror edition currently available on the Switch eShop also features the prequel DLC, Outlast: Whistleblower.

There’s still no word on when Outlast 2 will land on Switch, but given how the first game jumped out of nowhere, we can only imagine the second will get the same treatment.
You can read the description below, or scroll past it to watch the trailer.

Cita:In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors wait inside Mount Massive Asylum. A long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, recently re-opened by the research and charity branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation, the asylum has been operating in strict secrecy…until now.

Acting on a tip from an anonymous source, independent journalist Miles Upshur breaks into the facility, and what he discovers walks a terrifying line between science and religion, nature and something else entirely. Once inside, his only hope of escape lies with the terrible truth at the heart of Mount Massive.

Continue to explore the dark world of the Murkoff Corporation with the included Outlast: Whistleblower DLC.

You play as Waylon Park, a software engineer under contract with Murkoff and the man who emailed journalists around the world – including Miles – at the beginning of Outlast. Spending a couple of weeks at Mount Massive, during which he was unable to even talk to his wife and son thanks to strict security protocols, Waylon developed a deep-seated distrust of the profit-motivated scientists and doctors leading dangerous and irresponsible experiments on their patients. Identifying with those poor souls fuelled Waylon’s anger, and set the stage for his unmasking of Mount Massive’s rotten core.

Although Whistleblower tells the story that led to Outlast, it will actually stretch past the events of the first game to show the final chapter in Mount Massive Asylum’s story.
Outlast: Bundle of Terror is a true survival horror experience which aims to show that the most terrifying monsters of all come from the human mind.
  • True survival horror experience: You are no fighter – if you want to survive the horrors of the asylum, your only chance is to run…or hide
  • Immersive graphics: AAA-quality graphics give players a detailed, terrifying world to explore
  • Hide and sneak: stealth-based gameplay, with parkour-inspired platforming elements
  • Unpredictable enemies: players cannot know when – and from where – one of the asylum’s terrifying inhabitants will finally catch up to them
  • Real horror: Outlast’s setting and characters are inspired by real asylums and cases of criminal insanity
